2021 Yountville Restaurant Week
We’ve all missed dining out, and Napa Valley restaurants miss you!
Let’s come together as a community this winter, and keep the doors of our favorite Napa Valley restaurants open, by dining out or ordering takeout or delivery.
For the first time ever, the Valley’s typical week-long epicurean adventure has been expanded to five delicious weeks – featuring each one of Napa Valley’s five charming towns: American Canyon, Napa, Yountville, St. Helena, and Calistoga – for Napa Valley Restaurant Week®(s) from January 11 – February 14.
Not a local but still want to support our restaurants? You can also support Napa Valley restaurants by purchasing gift cards!
For fans of Handwritten Wines & Jessup Cellars, Yountville in particular has always held a special place in the hearts of foodies and wine lovers. Regarded as the ‘Culinary Capital of Napa Valley,’ chefs are turning up the heat with a creative selection of gourmet offerings, and our team of wine educators have curated a list of their feel-good favorite restaurants. To make it extra special, they’ve also included their wine pairing selections from our portfolio of handcrafted wines.

“Bistro Don Giovanni or ‘Don G’s’ has been around since I was a kid and has always delivered a 5-star experience for my family and friends. My go-to dish is the Seared Salmon Filet over Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes with Tomato Chive Butter. For an extra special treat, don’t forget to add the Grilled Octopus and Fried Olives. I love Pinot Noir with my seared salmon, and my wine pairing recommendations are Jessup Cellars’ 2018 Carneros Pinot Noir or Handwritten’s 2016 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir.”

Drinking wine was not a snobbism nor a sign of sophistication nor a cult; it was as natural as eating and to me as necessary. – Ernest Hemingway
“Naturally, my favorite restaurant in Yountville is Bistro Jeanty. Its casual and unpretentious environment has kept me coming back, year after year. My absolute favorite dish is their famous Steak Tartare with a side of frites – it’s always about great flavor integration and the freshest ingredients. I could easily finish two servings, it’s that good! Enjoy it with Handwritten’s 2015 Carneros Cabernet. The subtle and elegant qualities, reminiscent of Bordeaux, are everything that you can expect from a handcrafted boutique wine, and the lighter tannins elevate the nuances of the heavenly Tartare.”
Vi Mattson – Senior Wine Curator at Handwritten Wines
“Ciccio is, by far, my feel-good favorite restaurant in Napa Valley. Family owned, with amazingly kind staff, a wonderful chef (Love you Bryant!), and loved by locals, you’ll enjoy practically anything on the daily changing menu. Wood fired pizza is the first thing that comes to mind, but Ciccio’s Pork Milanese is out of this world. A bone-in pork chop, breaded and served with lemon caper sauce, this dish will change your life. A wonderful pairing is Handwritten’s phenomenal Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. For the cab lover, the balance of our Carneros Cabernet Sauvignon goes beautifully with the richness of the pork.”
Grant Wood – Jessup Cellars Tasting Room Manager
“R + D Kitchen, across the street from Jessup Cellars, continues to be a great option for both locals and tourists. I love the casual, yet classy, concept, and the social nature of its layout. The patio is particularly impressive, with Adirondack chairs surrounding fire pits, just beckoning you to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Although their menu is really diverse, from top notch sushi to juicy steak, one of their most popular dishes is their Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Try it with Jessup Cellars’ rich and creamy Chardonnay, which balances perfectly with the buttermilk fried chicken and spicy slaw.”
