Step inside the luxury lifestyle of Champagne and Caviar at one of Thomas Keller’s newest Yountville restaurants. The Regiis Ova Caviar and Champagne Lounge is the home of the finest artisan offerings hand curated by Yountville culinary legend, Thomas Keller and the authority of luxury caviar, Ms. Shaoching Bishop, former CEO of Sterling Caviar and Tsar Nicoulai Caviar.
Located in the heart of Yountville, Regiis Ova Caviar & Champagne Lounge delivers a new pop-up destination experience. Regiis Ova (or “Royal Egg” in Latin) Lounge is a celebration of luxury bubbles and classic artisan pairings served in a sophisticated, yet contemporary setting.
Shoaching Bishop spent 6 months visiting, sourcing and hand selecting the highest-quality sturgeon eggs from the finest caviar farms across the world.
“We know each farm that we buy caviar from and all the technical knowledge about how our products are made. Our mission is to support sustainable farming and provide chefs and consumers with the highest quality caviar at more affordable prices”, says Bishop.
In close collaboration with AD100 designer and fellow Northern California native, Ken Fulk, Bishop and Keller have crafted a whimsical and romantic feast for the senses. The elegant indoor lounge and lush outdoor garden space features a curated assortment of RH (Restoration Hardware) furnishings. A palette of deep-sea greens, exotic organic textures and luxury sink-in seating help to envelop you and yours for a truly immersive food and wine experience.
The Yountville restaurant and lounge menu emphasizes snacks, gourmet roe and caviar by the gram paired with pre- and post-dinner drinks. Much like Handwritten Wines approach to hospitality, Regiis Ova servers and sommeliers help to curate each guest experience, suggesting pairings based on flavor, texture, preference, and value.
Some of our favorite menu items from include Daniel Boulud smoked salmon and meyer lemon schmear with house made bagel wafers, not to mention the house special Hass avocado mousseline served with heirloom corn tortilla chips. Complementing the exquisite array of menu items is a beverage program expertly curated by longtime Thomas Keller Restaurant Group Beverage Director, Michel Couvreux and The French Laundry Head Sommelier, Andrew Adelson.
The high caliber list of bubbles showcases a variety of prestige offerings including Ruinart, Dom Perignon and Krug Champagnes. The lineup of luxury market wines also sources sparkling direct from the cellar of local California vintners along with handcrafted wines from small lot European producers.
