Located at 6494 Washington Street, Handwritten Wines offers two Yountville wine tasting experiences that reflect the winery’s founding philosophy: that wine, like a handwritten letter, should feel personal and considered.
The Classic Tasting Experience features four Napa Valley hillside and mountain District Cabernet Sauvignons poured side by side in a comparative format, accompanied by truffle potato chips and fluffa crackers. It is $75 per person for non-members, waived with a $100 purchase per person. Members taste complimentary.
The Bread & Butter Experience builds on the Classic with the addition of Bouchon Bakery baguette, three artisan butters, La Quercia prosciutto, and shaved P’tit Basque cheese. It is $100 per person for non-members, waived with a $150 purchase per person. Both experiences are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. by appointment.

The Yountville Art Walk
The Yountville Art Walk is a self-guided outdoor sculpture tour along Washington Street featuring approximately 35 rotating works by local and international artists. Art, Sip & Stroll (Annual Event)
Yountville Arts hosts the Art, Sip & Stroll each spring. The 2025 edition, the event’s 13th year, took place on May 17 and featured over 70 juried artists across painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture, alongside tastings from 20-plus local wineries. The Best Patios in Yountville
Yountville’s outdoor dining scene is one of its underappreciated pleasures. Several restaurants have invested in patio spaces that can hold their own against the setting, which is itself considerable: the Mayacamas Range to the west, the Vaca Range to the east, and orderly rows of vine in between.
RH Yountville. The indoor-outdoor restaurant at RH features heritage olive trees, trickling fountains, and chandeliers in a glass-roofed space that feels as much like a garden as a dining room. The menu is ingredient-driven and changes with the season. Reservations recommended.
Bottega Napa Valley. Located in the V Marketplace building at 6525 Washington Street, Bottega’s covered patio includes two stone fireplaces, making it viable year-round. Chef Michael Chiarello’s rustic Italian menu is a natural match for the stone courtyard setting.
Bistro Jeanty. Chef Philippe Jeanty’s French country bistro has been a Yountville fixture since 1998. The patio is dog-friendly and the menu runs to coq au vin, steak frites, and cassoulet. A comfortable, unhurried room.
R+D Kitchen. Large yellow umbrellas, fire pits, and a koi pond define the outdoor space at R+D Kitchen. The food leans toward American comfort, with solid cocktails and wine by the glass. The patio can accommodate groups comfortably.
Brix. Located one mile north of Yountville on Highway 29, Brix offers 180-degree vineyard and mountain views from its patio, set within two acres of gardens. The menu draws on Southern France and Northern Italy. It is one of the more scenic outdoor dining experiences in the valley.
