Harvest and Fall are by far the most admired times to visit Napa Wine Country. This high season is a time for wineries to give appreciation to wine lovers with intimate wine tastings and the finest epicurean experiences. Handwritten seeks to honor these traditions, with the addition of an exciting culinary element, paired with our classic flight of terroir driven wines.  As we head into the fall and holiday seasons, we are hoping to leave you with unforgettable memories, aided by a beautifully set table and phenomenal wines.

The introduction of our

Bread & Butter Experience offers the rare opportunity to sample 6 of our most prestigious wines in a side-by-side format. Wines are accompanied with a charming curation of fresh bread from Bouchon Bakery, artisan butters, delicately sliced Spanish-inspired Jamón and artisan cheese.

Our portfolio of luxury wines features small production parcels of fruit from hillside and mountain district vineyards that span the Napa Valley. Our winemaking team has created techniques that allow the fruit to be handled more gently than ever before, slowly coaxing out the truest flavors that nature has to offer. Among this exceptional set of side-by-side wines, is a display of distinct identity and sophistication influenced by the diversity of Napa Valley terroir.

Visitors can select from 6 wines from our portfolio of Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder, Howell Mountain, Rutherford, Oak Knoll, Stags Leap, Calistoga, Coombsville, Carneros, and Yountville. Among this rallying assortment of micro-lot wines are Cabernets boasting brooding, brambly and dark forest fruit bouquets to those with meatier, minerally or more earthy undertones.

Alongside fresh, hot bread from the oven, delivered daily from Bouchon Bakery, is a worldly selection of single-origin butters. This selection includes that of pure and unsalted Danish Lurpak, Italian family-made Delitia and the “grand cru” of French beurre, Isigny Sainte-Mère.

Perfectly complimenting this decadent assembly of artisan butters is rich shavings of American made prosciutto. Inspired by European tradition, family-owned La Quercia, who raise acorn-fed heritage livestock, elevating the bounty that surrounds Iowa to its highest expression. Just like our wines, each provision promises a story of purpose and provenance.

Handwritten tasting experiences are available 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm by appointment only. Our Bread & Butter Tasting is served complimentary for Handwritten club members and one guest. Non-members can still enjoy these artisan provisions along with their tasting available at $95 per person (waived upon 3 bottle purchase). Become a member of the Handwritten Allocation Circle for access to limited bottlings and exclusive events.
