In 2009 Handwritten was created when our founding owners envisioned creating a new experience built on the love of our sister winery, Jessup Cellars.

What if a new wine experience could be created that celebrates and compares – side by side – the unique terroirs of the Napa Valley?

Juxtaposition these elegant wines with satisfying bread & butter and the power of words – written and spoken – and Handwritten was born.

The recurring thread of our owner families is quite simply, caring for people. Careers in health care created a common foundation for friendships that have grown into a shared love for serving others with great wine and meaningful experiences.
