Playbills and Platter ~ Yountville Pride Dinner
The weeklong 2023 Yountville Pride Celebration Week will occur from June 5th through June 11th.
A notable highlight of the week’s activities is the Playbills, Platters, and Rising Stars event, a special dinner hosted by three of Yountville’s award-winning boutique wineries: Handwritten Wines, Jessup Cellars, and Lloyd Cellars.
This exclusive event takes place on Friday, June 9th, at 6 PM at the Jessup Cellars Tasting Gallery at 6740 Washington Street in Yountville.
To support the celebration, Handwritten Wines and the two other boutique wineries will donate 10% of the proceeds to the local organization that supports the LGBTQIA+ Community.
About the Event
As part of the occasion, Tony Award-nominated producer Jacob Langfelder will announce the dates of Wine Country’s ever-popular Broadway and Vine Summer Series and name this year’s participating artists.
Langfelder will also display his vintage Playbills Collection, while art curator and local artist Cynthia Carey will present custom artwork at the dinner.
As an added highlight, well-known actress, singer, poet, and songwriter Abigail Choi Arader will perform during the evening’s dessert course. While Abigail’s music can always be enjoyed on Apple Music and others, she currently stars as Ingrid Lim in the HBO MAX’s reboot of Gossip Girl.
A resident of New York City, Arader appeared in the Off-Broadway production of Comfort Women: A New Musical at age 17. Her performance won the Broadway World’s Best Actress in a Musical Award.
What’s for Dinner?
The Yountville Pride Playbills, Platters, and Rising Stars Dinner at the Jessup Cellars Tasting Gallery will feature handcrafted wine pairings from each of the three participating boutique wineries presented by Executive Winemaker Rob Lloyd.
Locally sourced Artisan Cheeses & Charcuterie will complement the handcrafted wines from the three sponsoring boutique wineries.
