Our handcrafted wines are made my by the hands of nature from the highest quality vineyards across Napa Valley. From each corner of the valley we grow and tend grapes with meticulous attention to flavor development, tannin maturation and acid balance. At Handwritten Wines, our members trust that they’re allocations contain the most high end cabernet sauvignon that the valley can produce. From Wooden Valley in the southeast corner of Napa County to the hillsides of Mt. Veeder and Howell Mountain, and each magnificent micro lot in between, come the highest quality fruit parcels that make our Handwritten Wines collection. Unique to the Handwritten Wines Member Circle offering is the opportunity to completely customize your allocation. Members of Handwritten Wines Trilogy Club, Anthology Six or Anthology Twelve Clubs can personalize their seasonal shipments based on taste preference and cellar size.
Always a favorite whether summer or fall, is 2020 “The Author” Sauvignon Blanc. This exceptional white is a fan favorite from our handcrafted wines. Fermented and aged in concrete egg, this warm weather white retains a vibrant medley of tropical fruit aromas such as guava, candied papaya, passion fruit.
This fruitful wine will pair delightfully well with fresh or grilled oysters, shrimp gazpacho, fruit salads, and crispy fried chicken.
From the rare Clone 809, or “Musqué Clone”, comes our bright and lively, yet velvety smooth and luxurious, 2020 Carneros Chardonnay. Floral and stone-fruit aromas fill the glass followed closely after with creamy textures of butterscotch and silken lemon curd. Attendees to our Seven Culinary Wonders event know our Chardonnay is a match made in heaven with Philip’s Boston Somm’s Lobster Roll.
Opulent, sumptuous, and sophisticated, is our 2018 Pinot Noir sourced from the esteemed Rio Vista Vineyards of the Santa Rita Hills Appellation in Santa Barbara County. Located just miles from the Pacific Ocean, brisk afternoon winds keep this microclimate cool allowing ultra-long ripening for a remarkably rich bouquet of fresh berries, sweet spice, cocoa and baked pie crust flavors. Toasted notes of oak and sage pair terrifically well with the earthy tones of Black Truffle Risotto.
