Amy’s Itinerary

My favorite day in the Napa Valley starts and finishes at Indian Springs Resort in Calistoga.

I recommend beginning your day with brunch at Sam’s Social Club on the Indian Springs Resort property. Sam’s menu is creative and offers many farm fresh options. On a important side note, I can not say enough about their house made Candy Cap Chorros. They are absolutely unforgettable and also make a fantastic addition to any (and quite possibly every) meal.

Afterwards, take a 7 mile trip south on Hwy 29 to Allora Winery in beautiful St. Helena.  Their organic, boutique winery (1200 cases a year) is located on a 15 acre estate in the center of the valley.

Allora wines are crafted by Angelina Mondavi with the assistance of my dear friend Matt Beverly (Matt is also a delightful wine educator at Allora). Allora specializes in beautifully crafted Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Proprietary Red Blend and Petit Sirah.  Most of their wines are produced from Estate fruit. Tastings last between 60-90 minutes and the experience will not soon be forgotten. In addition to their spectacular wines, the view of the estate and surrounding vineyards are breathtaking and will only add to the allure of your visit.

Afterwards, I recommend some rest and relaxation back at Indian Springs. Their Spa Treatments, Zen Pond and 100 percent thermal mineral pools will transcend all of your expectations.

Cheers!
