Remember the days of traveling the world, in pursuit of the finest food and wines? Dreaming of a unique and innovative way to keep wine lovers connected, when we can’t be together, Handwritten Supper Club dining series was born. Each supper club event will pair an exotic food delicacy with one of the handcrafted wines of the Handwritten collection. These interactive culinary experiences show our constant strive to inspire thoughts, stories and unforgettable moments. Without further ado, we would like to unveil the long-anticipated, Seven Culinary Wonders.
The Handwritten Supper Club was created this year, as a way to share in meals and memories when we can’t be together. One of our elevated dining events that continues to inspire was a divine pairing of Maine lobster and Handwritten Chardonnay. Virtual attendees were able to express ship their Boston Lobster Bake kit directly to their door, courtesy of Fisherman Joe or Lobster Anywhere in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Philip and resident chef Emily Buller, hosted a live cooking demonstration to hungry Handwritten Wines lovers cooking along at home.
Our newest culinary journey will explore seven of the most exotic food delicacies that are on any true foodie’s bucket list. Affectionally coined “Seven Culinary Wonders”, the once-in-a-lifetime virtual event series was made possible through close partnership with some of the most iconic food purveyors and farmers across the country. Handwritten Director and Sommelier, Philip O’Conor says “Nothing like this has ever been done before, so we are excited to present this program”.
For visitors and Allocation members of our luxury Yountville tasting room, it comes as no surprise that Handwritten Wines would be first to delivery this one-of-a-kind culinary discovery. Guests visiting the newly opened So-Yo House can enjoy the Bread & Butter experience. This handsome curation of boutique butters, artisan cheeses and Old-World inspired charcuterie is served with fresh sliced baguette from Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery. Tasting appointments can be schedule daily from 10am until 6pm and reservations are essential.
This year-long virtual voyage will include an intimate culinary quest of master classes, to discover precious foods such as Kobe beef, caviar, Italian truffles, and oysters, among many others. The no expense spared events will only be available to 10 couples, taking guests on a virtual journey, tasting high quality white wines and Cabernet Sauvignons from Napa Valley’s most highly coveted mountain vineyards.
